A reminder of what you'll learn on the course:

• The science behind silver clay

• The different types of silver clay

• How to roll silver clay to a consistent thickness

• Using textures to pattern the clay

• Cutting the clay using cutters

• Making holes in the clay

• Refining dry silver clay

• Hand and kiln firing silver clay

• Polishing silver clay to a mirror shine

• We'll also learn all about mould making with silicone moulding compound and how to use your moulds to produce silver jewels.

At the end of the class you will leave with your finished piece(s) of silver jewellery, and at least one silicone mould.

The course includes your tuition, 10g of Art Clay Silver, silicone moulding compound, a goody bag with basic elements that will allow you to make more jewellery at home and the choice of either a sterling silver chain or earring wires.

Refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits - you would need to bring your own packed lunch or you can have lunch in the garden centre’s lovely cafe) are also included.
