Fancy learning a new craft?
Why not come along and enjoy a morning taster session in the studio learning all about precious metal clay and trying your hand at the craft. During the session (10am-1pm-ish) you'll learn the following:
The science behind Precious Metal Clay (PMC)
The different types of PMC
How to roll PMC to a consistent thickness
Using textures to pattern the clay
Cutting the clay using cutters
Making holes in the clay
Refining dry PMC
Hand firing PMC
At the end of the morning you will leave with one finished piece of jewellery and enough PMC to make another piece of jewellery at home.
The three+ hours taster course includes 5.6g of PMC Flex, two sterling silver jump rings, tea, coffee, juice and as many yummy cookies and sloppy dog kisses as you can handle throughout the morning.
Fancy learning how to make silver jewellery?
Why not come along and enjoy a workshop in our Petworth based studio learning all about the amazing product that is silver clay and trying your hand at the craft. During the session (10am-5pm-ish) you'll learn the following:
- The science behind silver clay
- The different types of silver clay
- How to roll silver clay to a consistent thickness
- Using textures to pattern the clay
- Cutting the clay
- Making holes in the clay
- Refining dry silver clay
- Hand firing your silver clay creations
- Polishing silver clay to a mirror shine
We'll also learn all about mould making with silicone moulding compound and how to use your moulds to produce silver jewels.
At the end of the day you will leave with at least one finished piece of silver jewellery (most people have enough silver to make a set or more), a silicone mould and lots of free goodies to help you make more jewellery at home.
The course includes 11g of PMC Flex, either a sterling silver chain or sterling silver earring hooks, sterling silver jump rings, silicone moulding compound, refreshments and as many sloppy dog kisses as you can handle throughout the day.

We also offer one-to-one training which is based on a seven hour day and the day can be tailored according to what you’d like to learn. For example, you could do a little of the ‘Getting started with silver clay’ course and then perhaps add soldering or basic sterling silver ring making. One-to-one’s cost £140 + the cost of materials. Please contact us to discuss and book.
Are you a previous student? We now also offer pay-as-you-go studio time where you can come along and use the studio and the tools for an hourly fee of £15 per hour + the cost of materials. Please contact us to discuss and to arrange a mutually convenient time.
